Manufactured in 1948. The barrel is a medium weight with a taper and manufactured with no sights. The receiver is a deep blue with the Winchester "WP" proof and two-line trademark on the receiver rail. The receiver has been drilled and tapped and fitted with Leupold bases and rings with a Kahles 3-9x42 scope. The floorplate and triggerguard have been engraved with tight flourishes of floral scroll engraving with the initials "DRH" near the floorplate release. The stock is a single piece of nicely figured walnut with fleur de lis checkering at the forearm and pistol grip, contrasting wood forend cap sling swivel studs, checkered blue steel grip cap and a checkered blue steel buttplate.

Very good as embellished and refinished with 99% of the current polished blue finish. With some small light handling marks scattered throughout. The wood is very good with scattered light handling marks and a few minor indentations. Optics are very clear. Mechanically excellent.

With a tapered octagon barrel, manufactured without sights. The barrel is marked "7x57" and "CNN"on the upper left flat. The receiver is drilled and tapped and mounted with Conetrol blocks and rings with a Hunting Z 3.5-10x50mm scope. The bolt is polished with a blued extractor and knurled knob handle. The floor plate is marked "SUPER EXPRESS". The stock is a single piece of nicely figured, extra fancy English walnut with bold, dark mineral lines, fancy carved forearm tip, fleur de lis checkering at the forearm and pistol grip, sling swivel studs, and a solid rubber recoil pad.

Good as custom built with 99% of the current blue. The finish has taken on an overall plum bronze tone, with some areas of inconsistent coloration. The stock is very good with attractive grain and nice figuring. The right side of the stock has a 3 3/8 inch hairline crack just under the action and ending at the bolt cutout. Mechanically excellent. Optics are very clear.
