Manufactured in 1954. This fantastic custom built Winchester features a beaded blade front sight on a stippled ramp with a hood and no fixed rear barrel sight. The receiver has been masterfully and elegantly engraved with a tight swirling vine scroll with brilliant gold inlays. The barrel is similarly engraved with two 2 inch flourishes on either side, just rear of the front sight, and a 7 1/2 inch long band stretching from the breech to the almost the end of the forearm. The engravings have been executed in such a way as to flow wonderfully while still preserving the original Winchester markings. The bolt body has been brilliantly jeweled as have the extractor and magazine follower. The bolt handle has been carefully engraved in an extremely high relief eagle's claw with a contrasting polychrome gold wash. The floorplate is engraved and gold inlaid similar to the receiver and barrel with a large central high relief polychrome gold inlaid roaring tiger. The details on the tigers face have been wonderfully executed and the polychrome finish gives it a subdued tasteful quality. The stock is equally impressive, it is a single piece of extra fancy walnut that has been finely checkered at the forearm and pistol grip with a contrasting wood inlaid at the borders to create the fleur de lis designs. The cheekpiece with raised comb is hand carved with a scene of assorted game animals in their habitats seamlessly transitioning from mountains and forest to rolling hills and grasslands. The stock features beautifully contrasting forend and grip caps with white spacers and a white diamond shaped insert on the grip cap. The under side of the stock has a black initial oval inset. Fitted with a fleur de lis checkered rosewood buttplate. The rifle is mounted with a Weaver K6-C3 scope on Redfield high rings and bases.

Very fine as masterfully engraved, inlaid and refinished. With 99% of the current polished blue finish, and very bold gold inlays. All engravings are incredibly sharp and well detailed. With some light handling marks scattered throughout. The stock is very good with scattered light to moderate handling marks. Checkering is sharp and the stock carvings are detailed. The optics are very clear. Mechanically excellent.
