This wonderfully engraved rifle features extensive, bold floral scroll engraving. The front sight ramp is engraved with a 1 3/4 inch wedge continuing onto the barrel. The engraving becomes more extensive starting with a 4 1/2 inch wedge starting forward of the rear sight and continuing onto the action where it has almost complete coverage. The top of the chamber has a bellowing bull elk in a grassy forrest scene with the serial number marked to the right and more scroll engraving. The floorplate is engraved with a forest scene of a hunting dog and a large wild boar in incredible detail. The trigger guard is inscribed "EVA M. ANDERSON" with a scroll border. With a ramped bead and blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear sights. The stock is a single piece of straight grain walnut with multi-point checkering at the forearm and wrist, sling swivels cheekpiece. The right side of the buttstock is carved with a highly detailed game scene of a bull and cow elk being chased by a hunting dog in a forested mountain scene. The stock is cast off to the right, to allow for using the left eye to aim. The consignor states the rifle was custom built and engraved for one Eva Anderson, the stock is cast off to compensate for a bad right eye. Fitted with a serrated plastic buttplate.

Very fine as professionally engraved, stocked and finished. With 99% of the current deep polished blue finish and only minimal light handling marks. The stock is very fine with detailed carvings and some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
