The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line Hartford address/patent dates, and the left is marked "NEW SERVICE 38 W.C.F." The serial number is marked on the crane and yoke with the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. Fitted with checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions. With a lanyard swivel on the butt.

Excellent overall with 95% original blue finish, areas of light edge wear on the barrel and frame, and scattered light handling marks. The grips are excellent with well defined checkering and light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
