Manufactured in 1926. Two-line address/patent dates on top of the barrel, left barrel side is marked "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT" and Rampant Colt on the left side plate. Inscribed "Chas./E. Eggleston/L.A. P.D. 33." on the left side of the frame under the Rampant Colt. Matching serial number on frame and crane. Equipped with a smooth trigger and checkered hammer, cylinder release, ejector rod and back strap (possibly factory). Fitted with checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions and lanyard ring on the butt. Complete with a Colt factory box and a cleaning brush.

Very fine with 80% of the original blue finish with scattered scratches, dings on the muzzle and front sight, edge wear on top of the frame, edge wear on the front face of the cylinder, some minor dings on the cylinder and a cylinder drag line. The markings are clear. The grips are very good with two chip absent from the bottom of the left grip panel and scattered scratches and dings. The checkering has moderate wear. The replacement box is with some areas of corner and edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
