Built on a factory engraved No. 6 Ballard action with double set triggers (the purist Ballard Rifle collectors are in mourning!) and the classic ball and spur type lever. The action is engraved with wild animal scenes of a bear on the right and a running deer on the left. The animals have circular borders and the balance of the action features a swirling floral scroll engraving with a repeating heart border. Fitted with a heavy stainless steel barrel that has been fitted with a 1 inch sight block at the muzzle and a rear quarter rib. The rib is fitted with a rare Davis Optical Co. Spotshot 20X scope. Consignor notes state the barrel is an R.K. Smith. Mounted on a custom large bench rest forearm and flat toed bench rest stock.

Very good as customized for bench rest shooting. The barrel shows some light general handling marks, a few small dings and some minor nicks. The action has traces of original case colors but has mostly aged to a mottled dark gray patina with some reddish brown tones inside the trigger guard. The wood is very good as customized with scattered dings and moderate indentations. Mechanically excellent.
