This is the first production model of the Browning Lever Action Rifle. Manufactured in 1976 by Miroku of Japan. Ramped beaded blade front and adjustable rear notch sights. The barrel is marked on the right side with the caliber and patent information in two lines and the right has the Browning Utah and Montreal addresses over "MADE IN JAPAN". Features a highly polished blue finish with a polished bolt. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts with filler screws in place. Mounted on a multi-point checkered forearm with a single barrel band and straight grip stock with sling swivels and a vented Browning recoil pad. Includes a copy of the article "The U.S. Made Browning That Almost Was" by William G. Fohrman for "The Gun Digest" 46th edition 1992. The article details the research and development involved with the BLR design and identifies this particular rifle by serial number as the first production rifle from the Miroku plant.

Excellent overall with 99% of the original blue. Some scattered, very small handling marks and two small dots of black paint on the barrel band. The wood is excellent with sharp checkering and some scattered small handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
