Description:

An estimated 4,000 of these Steven's No. 34 "Hunter's Pet" pocket rifles were manufactured from 1872 to 1900. It has the standard globe/blade front sight and adjustable peep/notch rear sight. The barrel is marked with the J. Stevens & Co. address and patent information on the upper left flat. The matching serial number is marked on the left side of the barrel at the breech, butt, and on the skeleton buttstock.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish and 90% original nickel plating with some light spotting and flaking of the nickel and minor edge wear and small patches of light pitting on the barrel. The grips are also very fine with only mild handling wear and some slight dings and scratches. The action functions fine, and the markings are crisp.
