These interesting kits were assembled in the modern day. Michael de Winter has claimed he produced the first kit in the 1970s. This example has a double barrel percussion pistol with bag shaped walnut grip and Damascus twist barrels with Liege triple proof provisional marking for unfurnished barrels, and some other small illegible marks. The modern label on the inside of the case lid is headlined, "Vampire Killing Kit" in gothic script and notes that this kit "contains items considered necessary for the protection of person who travel into certain little known countries of Eastern Europe." The case is fitted to the gun and has multiple compartments for the following accessories: seven "silver" bullets with crosses cut into them (also good for lycanthrope/werewolves!), bullet mold, red leather bound powder flask, Eley Bros cap tin, crucifix, and bottles with the following labels: "Flour of Garlic", "Professor Blomberg's New Serum", "Agrimony" (a flower often used in potions and believed by some to induce sleep), "Holy Water", "vampirism" (contains a waxy substance), and "Tincture of Jalap" (laxative). Most of the bottles are empty. The top of the lid is hand marked "S FLAHER" over a brass shield plaque. The label has the floral accented border reported to be found only on "original" kits.

Good as custom made in the 20th Century. The pistol has gray and brown patina, distinct twist patterns, and minor oxidation. The grip is very good as refinished. With some light scratches and marks. The action is fine. The crucifix has a broken piece held by tacky. A wooden stake listed on the label is absent. The remaining accessories and case are very good with a rather convincing artificial aged appearance.
