Description:

Two folding knives flank the fold up trigger. One blade is a 3 1/8 inch double sided and the other is a 2 1/8 inch single edge blade. Both are marked "JAMES / RODGERS / SHEFFIELD" on the left ricasso. The octagon barrel is set on top the knife portion with a worn post front sight, a pair of Birmingham proofs on the upper left flat and a smooth hammer connected to a folding trigger. The left and right barrel flats are stamped 204 with a double stamped 232 also on the right flat. A lanyard staple is mounted on the front grip strap. The butt of the gun has a small storage compartment, and stored inside the horn panels on the sides are a pair of tweezers on the right and a small German silver bullet mold on the left.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The silver components show a fine aged patina with an attractive aged color on the exposed brass. The blades have some minor pitting, along with some minor spotting on the short blade. The horn panels are fine with the exception of a some hairline cracks on the top and bottom edges and a couple of barely noticeable period repairs at the butt, along with a couple small absent chips and some minor scratches overall. Mechanically fine, just a little stiff to cock.
