Fitted with a ramped, winged pinhead front sight on the nicely fluted octagon barrel. The top flat of the barrel has been dovetailed over the forearm area for the purpose of sight mounting. The right upper flat is marked "ALOIS MOGELE" and the left is marked "MANNHEIM" the markings are just forward of the breech. Black/4mm ball loading mech. The receiver is fitted with a large diopter tang sight with a rotating wheel for different aperture sizes. The receiver and lever feature heavy engraving with a detailed shooting scene on the right side, and a drinking scene on the left. The scenes feature punch dot backgrounds and broad floral scroll borders. Mounted with a lead weighted checkered forearm with foliate relief carving and a Schuetzen style buttstock with fine checkering, sweeping relief carved floral designs, textured thumb rest on the right side, broad Tyrolean cheekpiece and a casehardened single hook Schuetzen buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 60% of the original finish. Displaying general handling marks on the barrel, scattered small scratches, areas of light spotting and some small dings. The receiver has traces of muted original case colors, detailed engraving, and areas of dark patina and rough spotting on the action lever. The wood is fine with scattered indentations, fine checkering, and some slight gaps at the upper tang and buttplate. The buttplate is missing the top screw. The action needs some work as the sear does not seem to engage and the rifle will not cock or fire.
