Description:

Active circa 1870-1915, Dahlgren was one of the firms operating out of Eskilstuna, a major European blade center and Sweden's answer to England's Sheffield and Germany's Solingen. Measuring 10 1/2 inches overall, with a 5 1/2 inch curved single edged blade, three line address on the left ricasso, and a dual quillion guard. Both the hilt and sheath are finished in nickel overall, with panels of floral decoration that were etched, filled in with black enamel, and then detailed with silver and gold enamel.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with a small amount of spotting and handling marks overall.
