A) Bruneel Percussion Pistol

Description:

Each of these pistols is signed "BRUNEEL/A LYON" on the top of the action and has a Damascus barrel with a Liege proof and "2/crown/AF", floral engraving, a pheasant on the left side, folding trigger, and ebony grip with gold thumb plate, and shell shaped cap compartment. Gun A has a male bird, and gun B has a female bird. The grips are stamped "0/35/75" below the lower tang and "37" slightly to the right. Under the grip of gun B an old piece of paper that reads: "NETTOYAGE/REMISE on ETHAT/J.D CANNES" was found.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The pistol has mostly gray patina and some light brown. There is some light pitting and most of the engraving, markings, and twist patterns remain visible. The grip is fine with only minor scratches and handling marks. The action functions fine.

Rating Definition:

Very good with gray patina overall, light pitting, crisp engraving and markings, and some oxidation. The grip is very good with some slight handling and storage marks. A nut for the upper grip screw is absent and the action currently will not hold full cock.
