This is a fine example of an exhibition engraved and gold inlaid Lefaucheux style double action six shot pinfire revolver. Fixed front and rear sights. The barrel is marked in script "LAINE BREVETE RUE DE RIVOLI" in an etched panel. The revolver features 80% coverage of intricate floral motifs most of which are flanked by a think gold wire inlay. The barrel, frame, cylinder, and grip strap are blued. The hammer is bright. The revolver is finished with its original two-piece grips featuring an engraved escutcheons around the screws and a lanyard ring on the butt.

Excellent with 75% high polish blue finish remaining on the barrel, the balance has evenly thinned to a mottled gray patina mostly along high spots. The cylinder and frame retain 80% plus high polish blue finish thinning along the high edge and showing some minor handling marks scattered. The grip strap and trigger guard are mostly an even gray patina with some strong patches of high polish blue in sheltered areas. The grips are excellent and have taken on a pleasant mellow aged patina.
