Description:

This is a very fine WWI 1916 dated Imperial German Military Luger that was manufactured by the DWM factory with one matching magazine, and extra magazine and takedown tool. It is dated 1916 over the chamber with DWM monogram on the front toggle. It has the standard Imperial Crown/script letter proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof on the left side of the barrel extension. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top, rear of the barrel and left side of the breechblock. Military style serial number placement with the full serial number on the major components with the last two digits on the various smaller parts. It is fitted with checkered walnut grips and is complete with a two WWI nickel-plated magazines with the wooden base, one is matching that is marked: "3295/c/+" and the other one is unmarked. It is complete with a black leather holster that is marked "A. RICKE/CASSEL/1916", and comes with a unmarked takedown tool.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% plus of the original blued finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear. The restrawed parts retain 97% finish. The grips are also in excellent condition overall with nice sharp checkering. The Luger has all matching numbers except the grips which are unnumbered and the spare magazine as noted above. The base on the matching magazine shows an old repair and both magazine bases have been revarnished. Mechanically excellent. The holster is in good condition overall with clear distinct markings. The leather has a shiny black repolished finish with minor age cracks on the face of the leather. The belt loops and takedown tool pouch have all been resewn. A nice complete early WWI Luger rig.
