Description:

Constructed from wool, with a blue/gray crown and a black band, showing silver wire piping along the edges, bullion eagle and cockade patches, silver chinstrap and a black patent leather visor with checkered green finish on the underside. The sweatband and sweat diamond both bear silver Lubstein markings, with a "Privat" mark on the diamond, light tan band, and a seafoam green rayon liner. This cap came from the George Petersen Collection - the biggest and most important Luftwaffe collection in the world.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, totally original overall, showing a few tiny holes in the wool. The wreath patch is angled slightly downward to the right and shows a few areas of loose bullion. The interior is very good, with some patch stitching visible through the lining and some mild stains.
