Description:

Fixed sights, with the two-line address and patent dates marking on top of the barrel, "S.&W. D.A. 45" on the left side and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. Small "flaming bomb" and "eagle head/S6" proofs are stamped on the left side of the frame, with "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917" on the butt, matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and barrel, and matching assembly numbers on the frame and crane. Fitted with a casehardened checkered hammer, smooth trigger, and smooth grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% plus of the original blue finish, clear markings, a few small dings, a drag line on the cylinder, and mild spotting on the grip straps. The grips are also excellent with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
