Manufactured in 1966. This revolver features a serrated ramp front and adjustable rear notch sights. The markings and features are standard, with the addition of a number of German proofs on the barrel, frame, and the rear face of the cylinder. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the "Federal Eagle/ N" proof, as is the left side of the frame behind the cylinder. Also in that area is a "Checkered Shield" marking of the Munich proof house, and "66" inside a shield. The rear face of the cylinder has the "Federal Eagle/N" proof. The frame still has the "Verified Proof" and "U" inspectors marks on the shoulders of the trigger guard. Fitted with checkered grips with gold Colt medallions. Complete with a Colt factory "woodgrain" box numbered to the gun and papers.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish with minor scattered handling marks, minor muzzle wear, and a faint cylinder drag line. The grips are excellent with a minor ding and crisp checkering. The box is fair with scuff marks and tears, corner and edge wear, and one corner separated on the lid and one corner separated on the bottom of the box. Mechanically excellent.
