Manufactured in 1862. Bead front and hammer notch rear sights, with the one line New York address on the barrel, "COLTS/PATENT" on the frame, and smooth grips with faint cartouches and "R. DAVIS" branded on the right side. Davis has not been identified.

Very good as assembled (mixed wedge and cylinder), with a mixed gray and brown patina, a few hints of case color on the frame, and scattered spotting and handling marks. The grips are good, with period incised grip some dents and wear. Mechanically fine.
