Manufactured in 1863 and subsequently refurbished for the Indian Wars. Fixed blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with the New York address on top of the barrel, "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame, and "US" stamped on the front of the trigger guard. Numbers are mixed or absent overall. Fitted with a niter blue hammer and smooth one piece grips with a faint cartouche on the left side.

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with 20% of blue finish on the rebated side of the cylinder, mild spotting and light handling marks overall. The frame shows 50% color, as does the trigger. Grips are fair, with a large mended chip on the left toe and a number of dents and scuffs. Mechanically functions out of time, needs repair.
