Description:

1) Sheffield marked bowie with faded makers marks (possibly Harrison Brothers), 10 3/4 inches overall with a 6 3/4 inch clip point blade, one-piece German silver guard, full length/thickness tang and smooth grip scales. With a modern sheath. 2) Will & Finck San Francisco skinning/utility knife, 10 1/2 inches overall, with a 6 1/8 inch drop point blade, German silver guard initialed "E.R.S.", and stag scales on a full length tang. With an unmarked sheath. 3) "Best Quality/HUNTERS COMPANION" J.Walters/Globe Works Sheffield bowie, 13 1/2 inches overall, 8 3/4 inch drop point blade, German silver guard, stag grip scales and a leatherette/German silver sheath. 4) A copy of "The Antique Bowie Knife Book" by Adams, Voyles, and Moss.

Rating Definition:

1) Fair as cleaned/sharpened, with pitting on much of the steel surface, mixed color on the guard, and some scuffing and age cracks on the grip panels. The sheath is rough and worn. 2) As 1, with edge chips and no cracks on the grips. 3) Good. The blade shows a mixed gray patina, with a deep brown on the tang and scattered spotting and handling marks. The guard shows some scuffs and dents. Sheath is poor and undersized. 4) Excellent.
