The pin fastened barrel is unmarked, equipped with standard Kentucky style blade and notch sights, appears to have been smoothbore, and has a "wedding band" transition. The lock is marked "LONDON/WARRANTED" and has light engraving. The trigger guard has a very small bow. The stock has the "Roman nose" profile, cheek rest, silver inlays, and an engraved patch box. Writer believes it to be from the Lehigh Valley.

Rating Definition:

Fair, incomplete. The forend cap, thumb plate, and hammer are absent, and there are some replacement parts. The lock and barrel have been cleaned and display mostly gray patina and have moderate flash pitting at the breech. The brass and silver have a deep aged patina. The stock is good and has been refinished. It has cracking at the nose and edges of the forend, material absent above the lock, and minor marks. A Kentucky Rifle that is worthy of proper restoration!
