Description:

Manufactured circa 1890s by the Eagle Arms Company, New York, with Plants Manufacturing Company of New Haven as the sales office. The revolver fires the 30 cup-primed cartridge. The top of the barrel rib is marked "EAGLE ARMS CO. NEW YORK", with patent dates marked around the cylinder and the serial number on the butt. There is a small "APC" marked on the toe of the butt. The frame has a floral scroll and dot engraving. Wedges of engraved scrollwork are featured on the barrel sides at the muzzle and breech. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue barrel and cylinder, casehardened hammer and silver-plated frame, and fitted with smooth two-piece rosewood grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 60% original high polished blue finish and 40% of original blue remaining on the cylinder, otherwise the balance is a smooth brown patina. The frame retains 20% of the original silver plating which is in the protected areas, otherwise the exposed brass has a very attractive aged patina. The grips are fine with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
