Manufactured with an eye for the perpetually arms-hungry American market, the 1906 Luger was state of the art European military firepower in a eye pleasing package showing all the fit and finish one would expect of German craftsmanship and firing a high speed, flat trajectory round. Blade front and "V" notch rear sight, with the American Eagle on the chamber and the "GERMANY" import mark on the front of the frame, the "DWM" monogram on the toggle, "crown/N" firing proofs on the barrel, chamber, breech block, and front toggle. The lower safety position is polished bright and the extractor has the English "LOADED" chamber indicator marking on the left side. Parts numbering follows the "commercial" pattern and, except for the safety and the magazine, shows an external match. Finish is a high polish blue overall with straw colored controls, bright safety bar, and niter blue pins and screws. Fitted with a pair of sharply checkered walnut grips, a nickel magazine with an unmarked base, and "GERMANY" import mark on the front of the frame. The pistol is numbered in the "commercial style" with matching external numbers and "crown/N" proof stamps, fitted with niter blue and straw color small parts, "LOADED" extractor, polished "safe" position, a back strap grip safety, checkered walnut grips, and a nickel magazine with an unmarked wood base.

Very fine, with 98% plus original blue finish, showing some very light handling marks overall. The restrawed colors are virtually 100% bright and golden with a minimum of cycling wear on the fiery niter blue components. The grips are excellent with a few light dents on the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
