This is a very fine example of a unique post-WWII Krieghoff Luger pistol assembled in 1945/46. These have been termed as "PX" Lugers as they were assembled by the Krieghoff factory using any WWII manufactured parts that were left over after the war ended and were intended for sales to the GIs in the German run PXs. It is estimated that approximately 233 were produced in total with noted serial numbers running from 12-245. This series will have a mix of early and late production parts, with and without proofmarks. It has a blank chamber area with the late H/K/ Anchor Krieghoff marking on the front toggle. It is serial numbered "160" on the front of the frame and the left side of the barrel extension, with "60" on the back side of the side plate only. The remaining other parts are all unnumbered and unproofed with exception of the replacement, restrawed takedown level which is number "77". The right side of the barrel extension has the late LWaA acceptance and firing proof, with no other factory proofmarks. It is fitted with a set of brown checkered Mauser-type plastic grips. It is complete with one original late WWII, blued unmarked Krieghoff-type magazine with the dark brown plastic base.

Exceptionally fine with 95% plus of the original blue finish overall with light thinning on the grip straps. The smaller parts retain 80% of their straw colors overall with exception of the replaced takedown lever. The grips are in excellent condition with nice distinct, sharp checkering overall. Certainly a very unique and desirable late post-war Krieghoff Luger, worthy of any high end Luger collection.
