Description:

This is a very fine example of a pre-WWII G-date Nazi Army Mauser S/42 code Luger pistol rig. The top of the chamber area has the single letter "G", which denotes 1935, the year of manufacture. The toggle link has the correct "S/42" code mark and the right side of the barrel extension has the "eagle/63" proofs and droop wing eagle firing proof. The right side of the barrel and left side of the breechblock also have the same firing proof. The serial number and bore diameter markings are on the underside of the barrel, with proper "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" markings on the extractor and upper safety position. It is fitted with checkered walnut grips. It is complete with two chrome plated magazine with the aluminum bases marked as follows: "2027/d and 2027/d/+" It also comes with a black leather holster marked "C.EHMGHEN/DRESDEN/1935" and a takedown tool stamped with an "Eagle/211" proof. It has the early rust blued finish with the straw colored small parts.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with blue loss on the side plate and muzzle with thinning on the grip straps. The small parts retain 60% of their colors with more color in the protected areas. The grips are in very good condition with nice distinct checkering showing minor handling marks with some nicks in the tops of the diamonds. The holster is in very fine condition with a nice black color overall showing minor nicks and scratches on the face with tight stitching and clear distinct markings. As noted this early pre-war Luger rig has all matching numbers to include both magazines. A very nice original Luger rig.
