Description:

This is an exceptional example of a DWM Model 1908 military Luger pistol that is marked on the front grip strap with "B.II.2.", indicating it was issued to the second Bavarian Regiment. It correctly lacks the magazine hold-open device which is a very desirable feature as many were modified. The chamber is dated "1911" and it has the standard "DWM" monogram on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the standard "crown/script" letter acceptance proof next to the Imperial Eagle firing proof which is repeated on the barrel and breechblock. It has the "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered checkered walnut grips. It comes with a tin plated magazine with a unmarked wooden base.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% of the blue finish with very minor edge and high spot wear. The smaller parts retain 99% of their refurbished straw colors overall. The grips are also in excellent condition with nice sharp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. A really attractive early production 1908 Military Luger pistol.
