Manufactured in 1927, the Plus Ultra (Latin: "Further Beyond", personal motto of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V) took the Llama hammerless pistol and upsized it with an extended barrel and a long, wide grip to accommodate a 20-round double stack magazine. An impressive package of firepower for its day. The Plus Ultra found buyers with Chinese warlords, Imperial Japanese pilots, and fighters of the International Brigades. Fixed sights, the model and caliber markings on the slide, matching numbers on the slide and frame, and checkered extended grips. Importer mark (Interarms Alexandria, Va) visible on left side of frame below slide stop.

Fine as period refinished with 80% of the rust blue finish. Displaying mild pitting under the blue throughout, some markings buffed slightly light, general handling marks, and light edge wear. The grips are fine with general handling marks and a few small chips at the edges. Mechanically fine. The magazine does show some deeper pitting.
