A) Type 14 Nambu Semi-Automatic Pistol

Description:

The right side of the frame is marked "14.6" indicating manufacture in June of 1939. Fitted with standard fixed blade and frame notch sights, knurled and ribbed cocking piece and grooved mahogany grips. The trigger, cocking piece and rear of the bolt are marked with the partial serial number "393". The grips and firing pin are not numbered and the firing pin extension is numbered "204". Includes a nickel finished magazine not numbered to the gun and a Papa Nambu leather clamshell style holster with cartridge loops under flap.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% of the faded original blue finish. Showing scattered light spotting and freckling, general handling marks, some light pitting and a curved line along the safety lever range of travel. The grips are very good with general handling marks, some indentations and a semi-circular deep mark caused by the safety lever. Mechanically excellent. The holster is good with flexible leather, tight stitching and several scuffs on the exterior.

Description:

The included capture paper dated October 10, 1945 lists this pistol by serial number and the soldier authorized to keep it. The right side of the frame is marked "18.6" indicating manufacture in June of 1944. The pistol has standard fixed blade and frame notch sights, knurled and ribbed cocking piece, wide trigger guard and grooved mahogany grips. The pistol comes with an aluminum base magazine with the matching partial serial number "401" stamped on the spine. The trigger, firing pin extension, back of the bolt and cocking knob are all marked "401". The inside of each grip panel is stamped with the partial serial number "6401". A leather clamshell style holster with a cleaning rod and extra non-matching serialized magazine is also included.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% of the original finish. The pistol displays some cycling marks, mild edge wear, a bright line across the safety levers arc of travel and faded grip straps. The grips are also very fine with some mild handling marks and light indentations. Mechanically very good. The holster is fine with scuffs on the exterior, verdigris at the metal fittings and relatively tight stitching.
