Description:

This is a 22 caliber firing functional approximately 1/3-1/4 scale miniature of the Colt 1877 Model Gatling Gun (Furr is most likely the manufacturer of this fine quality miniature). It is constructed of brass with bright finished steel open 10 barrel cluster with an oak carriage and wheel spokes. The top of the receiver has the ""GATLING'S / BATTERY / GUN" / patent dates / Hartford address" affixed tag and is equipped with a 16 slot drum magazine. It stands 20 3/4" high at the drum, approximately 24" wide at the axle ends and approximately 38" from the end of the barrel housing and the end of the carriage hitch. Complete with a oak and glass display case, 43" deep, 27 1/2" high and 28 1/2" wide mounted on a four legged oak pedestal standing approximately 38".

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The brass on the wheels and carriage remain bright for the most part with the balance taking on a pleasant aged patina. The barrels remain mostly bright with some small areas of discoloration and a small area of light spotting. The oak components remain excellent with a few minor dings and handling marks. The display case and pedestal are excellent.
