This combination gun features incredibly detailed deep relief game scene engraving on the sides. Featuring hunting dogs in a forest scene on the right and a pair of stag on the left again in a highly detailed forest scene; one stag appears to have been downed by a hunter. The balance of the frame features loose broad German scroll engraving. The barrel group has standard pre-war crown proofs, blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear express sights, engraving on the wings, chamber area and breech, and has "FRITZ HARTSTANG" and "COLN" engraved and gold inlaid on the right and left sides respectively. The shotgun barrel has a 2 3/4 inch chamber and full choke. Mounted on a finely checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, dual triggers (front trigger is a set trigger) thumb safety, horn trigger guard, and a serrated horn buttplate. Stock measurements are: Drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; Drop at heel 2 7/8 inches; 0 cast; Length of pull 13 3/4 inches.

Very good with 95% of the blue finish on the barrels. Showing some small dings and handling marks. The frame has aged to a mostly brown patina with some faint original case colors visible in protected areas. The wood is very good with refreshed checkering, added protective varnish, and a few small indentations. Mechanically excellent.
