This shotgun was manufactured in 1971 and has nearly full coverage semi-relief engraving on the receiver, trigger guard, safety and forearm hardware. The left side of the receiver shows five pheasants in a wooded field surrounded by floral scroll: the right side shows four ducks in a marshy area: the trigger guard shows two rabbits, and the underside of the receiver shows two partridges in flight. The engraver's signature "Ch.SERVAIS" is found on the left side of the frame in the center towards the bottom edge. This example has 26 3/8 inch vent rib barrels with dual white bead sights, modified/modified chokes and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point checkered, varnished walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a vented Browning recoil pad. Includes a Browning takedown case. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches. Excellent with 99% of the original finish. Displaying a few light handling marks and some small areas of darker spotting on the frame and trigger guard. The wood is excellent with light handling marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is good with dark mildew spotting on the exterior.
