Manufactured by Otto Lang of Schweinfurt in Northern Bavaria. Lang was well known in Bavaria as a maker and retailer of fine shotguns, hunting rifles, and target rifles. The heavy octagon barrel is fitted with a ramped pin head front sight with a grooved matted half rib. The upper tang is fitted with an adjustable large diopter peep sight. The barrel is marked "OTTO LANG" and "SCHWEINFURT" on the top right and left flats respectively. The action is casehardened with double set triggers, and a single spur finger rest lever. Mounted on a checkered forearm and Tyrolean stock with a right hand thumb rest and a single hook Schuetzen style buttplate.

Very good with 80% plus original finish. Displaying some areas of high point and edge wear, general handling marks, a few small dings, and some areas of darker patina on the lever. The wood is fine with a small crack at the upper tang junction, well defined checkering, general handling marks, and small scattered indentations. Mechanically very good.
