Description:

A mid-WWII Springfied Armory M1 Garand that has been upgraded with a new barrel marked "4 63" "P" and "M" proofmarks and the Department of Defense acceptance stamp. The front left side of the barrel is correctly marked "NM". Fitted with a windage adjustable "NM" marked blade front sight and rear peep sight. The rear sight operative is marked "NM", and the aperture hood is marked "520". The trigger group, safety, and bolt are all "SA" marked, and the hammer is unmarked. Neither the operating rod nor the gas tube have "NM" markings. The chamber area of the barrel has been polished bright, and the breech end has been left in the white. The bolt is numbered to match the gun with an electric pencil. Fitted with gloss varnished non-bedded walnut stock with no markings, sling swivels, and a stamped checkered buttplate with trapdoor.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refurbished and upgraded to National Match configuration with 95% parkerized finish. Showing some small areas of light edge wear and general handling marks. The wood is also very good with a glossy finish and scattered small indentations. Mechanically excellent.
