Description:

Manufactured on contract, the Stevens 620 was used by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps from World War II up to Vietnam. A single brass bead sight is installed on the bayonet lug, with a six-hole heat shield, the three line Chicopee Falls address on the right side of the barrel ahead of the "P/flaming bomb" stamps and the gauge and 2 3/4 inch chamber markings on the left. The "P" and bomb are repeated on the left side of the receiver, with "MODEL 620" and "U.S." further to the back, and the serial number and "M/S" on the underside ahead of the trigger guard. Fitted with a smooth round forearm and pistol grip stock, the latter fitted with a sling swivel and a serrated buttplate, with a 14 inch length of pull.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% plus of the blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the magazine, bright edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks overall. The bayonet lug has the correct factory plum color and is unmarked. The stock is good, with an oversized buttplate (with a large chip of wood absent at top) and residue from now-absent labels along with some mild handling marks. It has matching serial numbers, and is mechanically excellent.
