Description:

This rifle has the pre-1886 Stevens & Co. address and patent marking on the upper left barrel flat and is equipped with a globe front sight with a blade on top like those used on Stevens Pocket Rifles, no rear sight dovetail seat, a tang mounted peep sight, and a straight wrist stock with attractive figure and a Swiss style target buttplate. Matching serial numbers are marked on several components.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 85% of the slightly fading original blue finish remains on the barrel. The hammer and trigger retain strong original niter blue finish, and the action, trigger guard, and buttplate retain 95% plus of the original nickel plating. Most of the flaking is on the trigger guard. There are some minor scratches and dings scattered throughout. The stock is very good as lightly sanded and re-oiled and has some small pressure marks. The action functions excellently, and the markings are clear.
