Manufactured in the 1880s, this double rifle features Damascus barrels chambered for a 52 caliber cartridge. Blade front with one fixed and one folding rear leaf sights on the matte solid rib. The top of the rib is marked with two lines the top is mostly illegible, and the bottom faintly reads "MAKER TO THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESS' THE PRINCE OF WALES AND DUKE OF EDINBURGH". The flats are marked with the serial number and "AH", and the barrels are marked with British crown over "V" and "GP" proofs. There is a sling eye mounted on the underside. The bores feature Henry's patented 7 groove rifling. The barrels are brown Damascus pattern, and the remaining metal is casehardened. The frame, locks, hammers, break lever and forearm hardware are nicely engraved with tight floral scroll and "ALEXR. HENRY" on both lock plates. The serial number is marked on the lower tang. There are sliding safeties mounted in front of each hammer, and the break lever is mounted on the bottom of the frame. Mounted with a fully checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered wrist, engraved iron grip cap with compartment, cheekpiece, sling eye and a serrated horn buttplate. Stock measurements are: Drop at comb 1 1/4 inch; Drop at heel 2 15/16 inches; 0 cast; 1/4 inch toe in; 14 3/8 inch length of pull.

Fair as refurbished. The barrels display strong rebrowned damascus patterning with some small scattered dings, slightly uneven muzzles and the barrel rib matting is mostly smooth. The receiver, lock plates, hammers and tangs have aged to a dark patina with clear markings and engravings. The left hammer shows evidence of a repair to a broken thumb spur, and the trigger guard has faint engravings and serial number under a period nitre blue refinish over heavy pitting and repair. The refinished, replaced wood is good as refreshed with well defined recut checkering overall and small indentations on the forearm. The buttplate has some light cracks and deeper scratches. Mechanically very good; the locks and safeties function very well.
