Features a fixed beaded blade front and automatic flip up rear notch sight, 2 9/16 inch chambers, and modified/full chokes. Both of the shotgun barrels are marked "SPECIAL/GEWEHRLAUF/STAHL". The under side of the barrel group has standard pre-war German commercial proofmarks and the breech end of the shotgun barrels feature two gold inlaid bands each. The rib has been fitted with claw style scope mounts and a Voigtlander Skoparette 4x scope. The casehardened action features broad floral scroll engraving with forest scenes on the side plates. The right side depicts a stag and cow, and the left shows two deer. The balance of the receiver features more floral scroll. The trigger guard and break lever are similarly engraved with gold inlaid birds. The action features a tang mounted thumb barrel selector switch and a left side mounted Greener style thumb safety. Mounted on a multi-point checkered forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a raised cheek piece, sling swivels, silver initial oval, and a checkered horn buttplate. Includes a padded leather sling and an unmarked brown plastic case. Additional barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .671/.675 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .039/.037 inches; drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 7/8 inches; 0 cast; 0 toe; 13 5/8 inches length of pull.

Very good as partially refinished with 90% of the blue. The barrels show a few small scratches and light dings at the muzzle, small dings under the blue, and an area on the rib between the scope bases that may have once noted the maker that has been buffed out and blued over. The receiver has aged to a mostly smooth gray patina with bold engraving and bright gold inlay. Displaying some general handling marks and smaller areas of a darker brown patina. The wood is good with scattered indentations, general handling marks, with some deeper gouges and small chips on the buttplate. Mechanically very good. The optics are mostly clear.
