Made by Jules Moigniez (French: 1835-1894). Tremendous massive and impressive silvered bronze sculpture of an eagle taking off from a tree limb. Highly intricate feathering on the eagle which has upturned wings. The eagle grasps the tree trunk limb with one talon while the other talon is outstretched. The tree trunk base has an intricate fleur-de-lis design and is surrounded by a circular base that rests on a custom, multifaceted, circular 2 inch thick black marble plinth. The eagle is signed on the base with the artist name "MOGINEZ" which is misspelled. The statues dimensions are 46 inches in height, 20 inches in width and 22 inches in length. The bronze weighs approximately 127 pounds.

Excellent. The bronze statue has a smooth silver patina overall with only slight handling marks. The marble plinth is excellent.
