Manufactured in Japan, the Model 23 Classic was only imported in 1986 and 1987. Dual white bead sights on the matte rib with the East Alton, Illinois, address on the left barrel, "MADE IN JAPAN" on the right, a "28" marking on the rear of the rib, improved cylinder and modified chokes, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The frame is lightly scroll engraved and has a gold finished single trigger, selective tang safety and a golden inlaid quail on the underside. Mounted on a checkered walnut pistol grip stock with an ebony insert at the forearm tip, engraved steel grip cap, unmarked inscription panel and a solid Decelerator recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. Includes a Winchester luggage-style takedown case with keys.

Excellent with 99% original finish and minimal light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with some light handling marks and minor blemishes in the varnish. The initial oval shows a few dark marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with what appears to be remnants of cardboard adhered to the exterior.
