Single iron bead on the concave rib, marked "MIDLAND GUN Co BIRMINGHAM & LONDON." and a gold inlaid "1" and border engravings at the breech. Choked modified/improved modified, 2 1/2 inch chambers with ejectors. Each side of the casehardened frame is marked "MIDLAND GUN Co" surrounded with floral scroll engravings on all sides. The engravings extend to the trigger guard, break lever, tangs and forearm hardware. The break lever also has a gold inlaid "1". Mounted on a checkered tiger striped English walnut straight grip stock with tear drop flats and an engraved steel tip insert with a gold inlaid "1" on the splinter forearm, blank initial oval, and a leather covered recoil pad.

Very good overall. The barrels retain 60% of the original blue finish with scattered scratches, finish loss and muzzle wear. The frame retains 50% of the original case colors with slight handling marks and has faded to a smooth silver patina. The engraving and gold inlays are clear. The wood is very good with a few minor dings and a chip repair on the right side of the forearm. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
