Manufactured in 1940. This unique revolver features a full length ventilated rib on top of the barrel. The rib is marked "COLT-KING SUPER TARGET" on the left side and features an adjustable Patridge front blade, and fully adjustable rear notch sight. It also has a small reflector inset in the rib just behind the front sight. The hammer is jeweled and marked "KING/COCKEYED/HAMMER" and the spur has a slight offset to the right and fine sharp checkering. The trigger is also finely checkered. The grips are fully checkered with inset silver Colt medallions and a Fray-Mershon "SURE-GRIP" adaptor. Includes a one-piece black Colt box numbered to the gun with papers.

Very good with 85% plus original blue finish. Showing some small areas of light spotting, very minor pitting and some oxidation under the grip scales. The grips are excellent with sharp checkering and some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is poor with the lid section separated and deteriorating.
