Manufactured in 1902, the second year of production. Winchester had a total production of approximately 65,000 Model 1901s, which was a redesign of the Model 1887 shotgun offered in 10 gauge only. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent dates followed by "MODEL 1901 10GA." and "FULL" at the left rear. The left side of the receiver is marked with the "WRACo" monogram, the upper tang is marked "-WINCHESTER-", and the serial number is on the bottom front of the receiver. Single brass bead sight, 3 inch chamber, blue finish with casehardened hammer and mounted with a diamond checkered, nicely figured walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate. Length of pull is 13 inches.

Excellent. The shotgun retains 97% plus original blue finish with a few very tiny areas of very minor pitting on the left side of the receiver, a couple of small minor scratches and the finish on the magazine tube beginning to dull a bit from normal handling. The wood is also excellent with 95% of the original varnish remaining and some scattered minor dings and scuffs. The hammer retains 95% bright original case colors with some normal cycling wear. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
