Manufactured in 1902. Floral scroll engraving on the lock plates, receiver, break lever, trigger guard/lower tang, forearm hardware and on the breech end of the rib. The lock plates are engraved in a banner "HOLLAND & HOLLAND". The underside of the receiver is engraved "ROYAL/HAMMERLESS/EJECTOR". The top of the right barrel is engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND", and the top of the left barrel is engraved "98. NEW BOND STREET, LONDON." The break lever is engraved "PATENT/EJECTOR". The bottom flats of the barrels are stamped with the "Crown/GP" and "Crown/V" proofs, marked "NITRO PROOF", "12", "1 1/8 OZ MAXIMUM", "12/C" in a diamond followed by "CHOKE". The underside of each barrel is marked with the matching serial number. The water table is stamped with two "Crown/V" proof marks and the matching serial number on each side. The serial number is also engraved on the lower tang. The barrels have a single brass bead sight, choked improved cylinder/improved modified, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The breech end of the rib has a gold inlaid "2". The 7 pin lock plates are secured to the receiver with two screws. There is a gold inlaid cocking indicator on each lock plate. The receiver and locks were casehardened, and the remaining metal surfaces are blue. Double triggers, automatic tang mounted safety with gold "SAFE", gold inlaid "2" on the break lever and mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut forearm (interior hardware numbered to gun and marked "2"), and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, solid leather wrapped recoil pad and gold initial oval inscribed "RAM". Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches, drop at comb is 1 1/2 inches, drop at heel is 2 5/8 inches. Weight is 6.11 pounds.

Fine as partially refinished with 99% blue finish remaining on the barrels and break lever. The trigger guard/lower tang shows some thinning and edge wear. The receiver and locks have been cleaned bright. The refurbished wood shows a few minor handling marks and very crisp recut checkering. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically excellent.
