Manufactured in 1931. The barrel has the one-line Hartford address on top and the caliber designation on the left side, and the frame has the two-line patent marking with the Rampant Colt on the left side. Matching numbers are found on the frame, grip straps, rear face of cylinder (77) and grip panels. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 5 1/2 inch barrel in .45 caliber, blue finish and type of stocks not listed when it was shipped to Alexander Kagen, Reading, Pennsylvania, on December 30, 1931. Comes with the factory box, which is numbered to the gun, and "Special Instructions."

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 90% original blue finish showing smooth gray patina mixed with blue on the grip straps and a cylinder drag line. Trigger has some finish removed, most likely non-factory replacement. 95% plus of the original case colors remain on the hammer and frame. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine showing a tear on a lid long side and some scattered minor wear. Nearly all of the end label remains.
