Manufactured in 1889. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address and the left side of the frame is marked with the three line, three patent dates. The upper left front of the trigger guard bow is marked "45 CAL". The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt/Federal Eagle grips. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, rubber grips and that it was shipped as 1 of 6 to Comminge & Giesler in Houston, Texas, on January 30, 1889.

Good. The metal surfaces retains 20% original nickel with the balance having a gray patina with some pitting on the frame and cylinder. The grips are fair showing heavy wear, the Rampant Colt and Federal eagle on the right panel are almost smooth, and the checkering is smooth. The left panel shows moderate wear. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
