Manufactured in 1921. The one-line address is marked on the top of the barrel, and "45 COLT" is on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the two-line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the number "3" above the Colt triangle "VP" proofmark. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The assembly number "156" is marked on the loading gate and right rear of the frame. Blue finish with a casehardened frame and hammer, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top, and matching serial number correctly scratched into the side of each panel.

Fine overall with 60% original blue finish remaining, with some thinning to a smooth gray patina in some areas, some edge wear and rotation marks on the cylinder. The frame and hammer retain 40% of the original fading case colors. The oversize replacement grips show a few minor dings on the bottoms, some minor handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
