Manufactured in 1899. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the two-line address on top and "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. The frame is marked with three line patent dates, circled Rampant Colt, and "155" assembly number on the loading gate. Matching numbers are present on the grip straps and cylinder. Fitted with checkered bird's head grips with Rampant Colt imprints.

Very fine, with 75% plus of the original nickel finish, showing some flaking concentrated along the edges, some light scuffs, and a small amount of spotting and bubbling. Strong and bright niter blue finish is present on the hammer and trigger. The grips are very good, with a few dents and flat spots. Mechanically fine.
