Single bead sight on the smooth concave rib marked "WILLIAM EVANS LTD. 67A St. JAMES'S STREET LONDON S.W.I.", 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors, standard proofs on the flats, small import mark on the underside of the rib at the muzzle, and improved cylinder/improved modified chokes. Lightly engraved receiver with standard marker's marks and proofs, dual triggers, and automatic tang safety. Checkered forearm and stock with engraved fittings, blank silver initial oval, and added 5/8 inch checkered walnut buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .734/.734 inch; minimum wall thickness .047/.047 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 1 3/4 inches; length of pull 15 inches. With leather bound takedown case with William Evans interior label and cleaning tools.

Fine as refinished with 90% of the blue finish, some mild edge wear, light rib markings, and handling marks overall. The receiver has 30% original case colors with a smooth gray patina on the balance and well defined engraving. The wood is also fine with moderately worn checkering, small dings throughout, and added buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Case is fair with scuffs and storage marks throughout, broken handle, age cracking, small tears, and staining.
