Late WWII M1 Garand originally manufactured circa July 1943 and later arsenal refurbished and upgraded to M1D Sniper configuration, most likely for either the Korean conflict or Vietnam. The right receiver leg is marked "TE/4-69" indicating it was rebuilt by the Tooele Army Depot in 1969. It is fitted with a standard Springfield M1D barrel marked, "S-A-10-52" barrel with integral scope base on the rear. Internal components are a mix of WWII parts that include a Springfield bolt and operating rod with a Winchester trigger housing (only). It has standard front and rear sights, with a post-war, wide base gas cylinder. It has a standard walnut stock and handguard set with the stock with no visible cartouches or proofs and is fitted with a standard checkered steel buttplate. It comes with a new commercial leather cheekpad marked with only "MRT". The rifle is fitted with the standard M84 scope that is marked on the nomenclature plate with "TELESCOPE/M84/SERIAL NO.25533". The scope has a sliding metal sunshield and a rubber eyepiece with the standard post and crosshair reticle. The rifle is complete with new leather sling marked "MRT" and a T-37 prong type flash hider with no other accessories or papers.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 98% of a late gray arsenal refurbished parkerized finish overall with light/minor edge and high spot wear. The refinished wood components are all in fine condition showing only minor handling marks with the stock having been lightly sanded. Mechanically excellent. The scope retains 95% of its blue finish overall with clear optics.
